A closer look at the cheapest

Cheap tuition is only half the story

The sticker fee is not your total cost, so look at the whole picture:

  • Living costs vary by city: roughly $400 to $600 a month in Anatolian cities and Northern Cyprus, and $500 to $800 in Istanbul.
  • Scholarships of 25 to 100 percent are common at private universities and can cut tuition dramatically.
  • Sibling and cash-payment discounts lower the price further; you can see them live in our programs explorer.

Our scholarships and tuition guide explains how to stack these and what to budget overall.

Cheapest by city

If you have a city in mind, each of our city guides ranks its universities by tuition: Istanbul (from $1,300), Ankara (from $1,440) and Northern Cyprus (from €1,250).

How to apply

Affordable does not mean complicated. You will need your previous diploma and transcript, a passport, and, for English-taught programs, proof of English. We handle the paperwork. See the full process in our Study in Türkiye guide.
